Standard Home Inspection     Starting from $275 for Single Family Home

The Standard Home Inspection includes a visual inspection of the home's systems and components: exterior, foundation, roof, interior, structural, electrical, plumbing and HVAC (heating, A/C, & ventilation system). A summary presentation with the aid of digital images will be conducted at the conclusion of the inspection. An electronic report including digital images will be provided within 24hrs of inspection.

The Standard Home Inspection does not include a full thermal imaging scan of the home or the basic Air Leakage Test. However, an infrared camera may be used at the inspector's discretion.

Infrared Home Inspection     Starting from $350 for Single Family Home

The Infrared Home Inspection Service includes a visual inspection of the home's systems and components: exterior, foundation, roof, interior, structural, electrical, plumbing and HVAC (heating, A/C, & ventilation system).

In addition, with our Infrared Home Inspection Package, our inspector will use the power of infrared thermal imaging equipment to enhance your home inspection. Our inspector will conduct a thorough thermal imaging scan of all the rooms within the living area of the home including floors, walls, foundation and ceilings. A summary presentation with the aid of digital images will be conducted at the conclusion of the inspection. An electronic report including digital and infrared images will be provided within 24hrs of inspection.

NOTE:

  • Please make a request to home owner to remove items that limit access to basement walls, garage, attic, main water line and other areas of concern. For 2 storey properties with a flat roof access from attic will be required as we don't carry 2 storey ladders.

    Home Energy Audit

    As an OVEC Energy Audit Advisor, we will conduct Residential Home Energy Audits in accordance with NRC's ecoENERGY retrofit program, to owners of single-family homes of no more than 3 storeys.

    Air Leakage Test

    Air leakage testing is the procedure to trace any unwanted drafts and uncontrolled airflow through the house. The air leakage of a house can be determined by carrying out a blower door test.
